This was the first time I have bought or used a SATA cable for anything. I bought it for my new 2TB hard-drive. This cable was inexpensive, easy to install, and works great.
I bought this after buying a new hard drive. A newer connection for the newer type of HDDs. I am more sued to the older stuff and was amazed to see and read about the new technology. it has been like 5-7 years since i had bought a desktop and in 2002 I had JUSt started learning about computers in college. Cheap price and just as good or better buying off of amazon than off of the Dell Website (dell inspirion 530 accesory/part). used it to put in a hard drive i had bought at walmart (it didnt come with the cord and was not gonna spend 20-30 bucks for a small cord).
Used this cable to go to my new Intel SSD.quality is great, and the spring clip works well to secure it to the drive.
I basically bought these cables because of the low price and because they have metal locking clips on each end, so they don't fall off, like the way most SATA cables do. It was a no-brain decision.
It's a 19 in. SATA cable, it works exactly like it's supposed to. There are conveniently placed depressable clips on both ends that makes it much easier to pull out. Plus, comes with a lifetime warranty.
